Description

Castle is an American comedy-drama police procedural television series created by Andrew W. Marlowe and produced by ABC Studios about a famous mystery-thriller novelist, Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion), who is called in after the NYPD discovers that there is a real copycat killer staging murders from scenes depicted in his novels.

Cross a mystery novelist with a rock star and you would get Nick Castle. He's got Jagger's swagger and James Bond's way with the ladies.

Although the handsome writer seems to have everything - fame, fans and females - he's grown weary of it all. In fact, he's just killed off the legendary character who's sold millions of books for him.

But when a real-world copycat murderer starts staging murder scenes from Nick's novels and NYPD Detective Beckett asks him for help, Nick feels the old blood pumping in his veins again.

Is it the thrill of the chase - or the fact that Beckett is a strikingly beautiful woman?

When Nick's freewheeler detective style clashes with Beckett's conservative approach, the sparks certainly flyleading to both danger and a hint of romance.

Castle is kept grounded by his Broadway diva mother, Martha Rodgers (Susan Sullivan), and quick-witted teenage daughter Alexis (Molly Quinn).

Also starring in the series are Ruben Santiago-Hudson as NYPD captain Roy Montgomery, Tamala Jones as medical examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD detective Javier Esposito and Seamus Dever as NYPD detective Kevin Ryan.

Castle is produced by ABC Studios. Andrew Marlowe (creator/writer) serves as Executive producer, along with Rob Bowman (who also directed the Pilot), Rene Echevarria, Laurie Zaks and Armyan Bernstein.
