Synopsis

Psi Factor (the title refers to “Psi”, the Greek letter for the unknown) is hosted by Dan Aykroyd, who previously drew from a life-long interest in the paranormal when researching and co-writing the scripts for Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II.

A private supporter of investigative and analytical paranormal organisations, Ackroyd also acted as a script consultant on Psi Factor and was involved in the production since its inception.

Psi Factor dramatises stories inspired by the actual case files of the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R), a privately funded research organisation that has been in operation since the eighties.

The O.S.I.R. is comprised of more than 300 scientists and researchers who investigate all manner of paranormal and unusual phenomena that are believed to exist including incidents of telekinesis, telepathy, ghosts, poltergeists, alien abductions, reincarnation and time travel.

Psi Factor was filmed in Toronto, Ontario.
