Leave It to Lamas is an American reality television series which documents the lives of Lorenzo Lamas, his ex-wife Michele Smith, their two children, Shayne and AJ Lamas, and Michele's daughter with ex-husband Craig Pike, Dakota. The show portrays the family's careers, dating and personal lives.
The series aired in the USA on E! from 11 October to 29 November, 2009. There are eight half-hour episodes in one season.
Leave It to Lamas premiered in South Africa on DStv's E! Entertainment channel on Sunday 23 January 2011, at 23h30. New episodes broadcast weekly.
Synopsis
Cameras follow The Bachelor: London Calling winner Shayne Lamas and the rest of her family as they live their Hollywood lifestyles, although the main focus is Shayne's return to the Los Angeles dating scene.
In the first episode: the Lamas family discovers that the rift between father and son has suddenly become public when one of the top gossip magazines makes the family fight a cover story of the week.
Shayne tries to take control and mend the relationship between her brother and father by throwing a family BBQ where she hopes they will both show up and work it out, but nothing goes quite as planned.
