About the Show

The Incredible Hulk is an American television action fantasy series based on the Marvel comic book character of the same name created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby about a physicist, Dr. David Bruce Bannerman, who transforms into the Hulk, a 7-foot-tall, 330 pound, green-skinned savage sub-human with near superhuman strength.

The series aired in the USA on CBS from 10 March, 1978 to 12 May, 1982. There are 82 episodes in five seasons.

The Incredible Hulk premiered in South Africa on TopTV's Fox Retro channel on Monday 1 November 2010, at 16h45. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 4 premiered on Fox Retro on Monday 28 November 2011, at 13h25. New episodes broadcast daily, on weekdays. There are 18 episodes in the fourth season.

Synopsis

David Banner, a physician and scientist, is haunted by the death of his wife whom he couldn't save in a car accident.

While he is researching the hidden immense strength of all humans he discovers that super-human strength can be related to solar flares.

In a dangerous experiment, he gives himself a dose of gamma radiation. However the dosage is accidentally set too high.

Now under circumstances of extreme emotional stress such as anger, fear, rage, pain or frustration he transforms into a rampaging beast known as The Incredible Hulk.
