Suffocates brother storyline

Suffocate's (Mduduzi Mabaso) long lost brother, Themba (Siphamandla Dhludhlu), recently arrived at Kilowatt with a gunshot wound. Themba is a real charmer, a chancer who is always on the lookout for the easy life.

He got acquainted with the shady hustling side of life at a very young age. His fast driving skills and naïve nature helped him develop a reputation as a street racer, the trusted getaway driver. It is this skill that brought him to the attention of The Don (Don Masenye).

Themba has been caught up with The Don and his gang since then.

His injury puts him out of commission and forces him to seek help from his brother. This causes tension between Suffocate and Niki (Nolo Phiri) because she feels that having Themba around is exposing their little family to danger.

Niki has tasted the rough side of life so she knows danger when she sees it. She is soon proven right when Themba gets well and starts flirting with the gangster life again.

The Don is a ruthless gangster with an insatiable appetite for making illegal money. Every gang member is valuable, no one is easily released from his gang. This tightens the grip the gang has on Themba, no one crosses The Don, his right hand man Gestapo (Warren Masemola) and their messenger Thabo (Malizo Mdekazi).

Trying to get his brother out of the gang life, Suffocate pulls all stops to get him to stop crime, even getting him a job at Kilowatt. He soon realises that all is not what it seems with Themba, it will be much harder to free him from The Don, and his world of crime, so he is forced to make some hard decisions.

Can Suffocate help Themba without reuniting with his former self?
