Maliq Lindsay

Age: 26 Maliq is a cargo handler from Cape Town. He is married to Ahdiela and has two kids: a two year old girl and four year old boy. Maliq likes music and singing (he sings with the Cape Minstrels), soccer and basketball (he coaches basketball in his recreational time and made the False Bay basketball team).
He hates people who talk behind his back. “I am a people’s person and a typical Leo but strangely my greatest fear is being in a dark room with a lot of people. The bravest thing I‘ve ever done is stop a man beating on his wife in a shopping mall. I ended up taking a few punches.
“My work is very physical so I’m more than physically prepared for Fear Factor. I push 3ton pallets all day from one part of a warehouse to the other end. My greatest achievement to date has been keeping my family together and getting to be a contestant in Fear Factor.
“My most embarrassing moment was at school rugby when the guys tore my pants down when I was running with the ball. My favourite artist is Jimmy Dludlu and I love jazz. Hey – I’m from Cape Town! I would like to one day start my own business, maybe a courier company or something like that. I would like to do better financially for my family.”
