Marc Lottering is a South African stand-up comedian who became an overnight comedy success following the debut of his self-titled one man show in 1997.
Lottering hails from Cape Town and has extensive experience in both television and theatre. In addition to being a regular feature in the line-up for live comedy festivals like Blacks Only and King & Queens of Comedy, Lottering has written and produced many one-man shows for the stage.
He has been the recipient of several prestigious awards along the way, and continues to play to packed houses all over South Africa.
In 2013 he starred as a fictional version of himself in the SABC3 sitcom Loitering in Jozi, which documents his disastrous relocation from Cape Town to Johannesburg in his quest to become a standup comedian.
