Michael Zulu is a South African actor best known for his role as Sparks, the IT technician, in the SABC1 drama series Mtunzini.com, since 2008. It is his first major television role.
Durban-born Michael grew up in Johannesburg, where he studied acting at AFDA. His love for the theatre led him to work with the Positive Arts Society (Paso) where he acted and also produced musical theatre.
Working part-time to make ends meet, he continued auditioning for roles on TV. After landing a Coca Cola commercial he acted in the educational drama HIV Vaccine.
In 2008 he landed the role of Sparks on Mtunzini.com, a character created to fill the void left by the departure of Siyabonga Shibe.
