Bio
Coco Merckel is a South African actor best known for his role as Witboy in the SABC3 television sitcom Suburban Bliss, which won him a nomination for an Artes Award for Best Actor in a Comedy.
He has acted in numerous other television series including Soul City, Zero Tolerance, Isidingo, Noah's Ark, Entabeni, Scandal!, Soul Buddyz, Jacob's Cross and isiBaya, among others.
Coco has also appeared in a number of films including Leon Schuster's Panic Mechanic, Dancing in the Dark, Max and Mona and Triomf.
An expert in Industrial Theatre/ Edutainment, Coco has performed, written, produced and directed numerous corporate plays, events and road shows for clients, which include among others, the Johannesburg City Council, National Prosecuting Authority, Lotto, IEC, Blue I.Q., Deloitte and Touché. He has also worked as a creative for corporate communications giant Blue Moon.
Merckel isfluent in at least six South African official languages.
