Jennifer Jones is a South African singer who was a celebrity coach on the third season of the musical talent show Supersterre.

Jones has been in the music industry for over 20 years and specialises in Jazz, Soul, Funk and R&B.

In 1996 she became the first South African artist to be signed by an international record agency, Sony Music.

In 1997 she released her first album: Slow Down which reached No. 2 on the South African Top 40.

In 1999 she became the first South African to be nominated for a Grammy award for the song: Son of Africa, Father of the Nation. In the same year she also won a Kora award for Most Promising Female Artist and the NTVA Stone Award for her performance in the programme High Heels and Hisses, in the category Magazine and Talk Show.

In 2000 she performed in the World Aids Day concert singing: The Future Ain’t What it Used To Be.

Jones has also been a judge in various national talent competitions, inlcuding Zing (where she was the Head Judge), Afrikaans Idols (as a Guest Judge) and Kaapse Jol 2007 (Head Judge).

Shows she's performed include Skouspel 2004 and 2005, Kaapse Jol 2007, the inauguration of both Presidents Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki, President Nelson Mandela’s birthday and The Heroes show, hosted by Drum, You and Huisgenoot magazines.

On October 2007 she'll be performing in Skouspel 2007.

Jones has also performed and toured with international artists including Michael Jackson, Dionne Warwick and Tina Turner.
South African artsists she's performed with include Vicky Sampson, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Dozi, Kurt Darren, Brandon October and Mynie
Grove.

She has appeared and performed on various television talk shows including The Jerry Springer Show, So Is Dit Met Steve(Steve Hofmeyer), Kom ‘n Bietjie Binne” (Dozi), Kwela (Coenie De Villiers). Noot Vir Noot (Johan Stemmert) and The Felicia Mabuza-Suttle Show.

She jas also performed in India for South African Tourism and is currently India’s tourism Ambassador to South Africa.

Jones is involved with the The Tomorrow Trust organisation and also does work with various AIDS organisations and underpiviledged children.

Based in Johannesburg, Jones is also part owner of an audio visual company called Watts Up Audio, specializing in production, events, retail and installation of audio and visual equipment for the entertainment industry.
