Eric Roberts is an American actor best known for his role as the escaped convict Buck in the film Runaway Train, for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1985.

He is also known for his recurring role as Will Butler in 26 episodes of the television sitcom Less Than Perfect, from 2002-2005.

He also had a leading role in the short-lived cop drama C-16: FBI in 1997.

Roberts has also appeared in the television shows Another World, The Drew Carey Show, Frasier, Spawn, Oz, Touched By An Angel, The Hunger, Dark Realm, Falcone, The King Of Queens, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Strange Frequency, Witchblade, Russkie v Gorode Angelov, Justice League, CSI: Miami, Danny Phantom, The L Word, and Heroes.
