John Slattery is an American actor best known for his starring role as Roger Sterling on the period drama television series Mad Men.
He is also known for his roles as Peter Benedict on Jack & Bobby (2004-2005), as Dennis Martino on Ed (2001-2002), and as union organizer Al Kahn on Homefront (1991-1993).
He also played the role of Senator Walter Mondale in the HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon; and made guest appearances as Sam Truman, Will's brother, on Will & Grace; Michael Cassidy, Amy's estranged husband, on Judging Amy; and Bill Kelley on Sex and the City.
Slattery graduated from The Catholic University of America in 1984.
He has been married to actress Talia Balsam since 30 December 1998. They have one child.
