Don Mlangeni Nawa was a South African actor best known for his role as Zebedee Matabane in the SABC3 soapie Isidingo, from 1998 to 2014.
He left Isidingo in early 2014 following a dispute with the show.
Between 1986 and 1993 Don starred in 'Sgudi 'Snaysi on the SABC's old TV2 channel for five seasons. This series later repeated on the SABC channels.
In 2018 he had a starring role as Moseki, a royal family member and younger brother of the queen, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Throne.
Between 2021 and 2023 he starred on the SABC3 telenovela The Estate as Shadrack Mokobane, a respected community leader who would sacrifice anything to give his son a better life.
Don played Dhlomo on the first two seasons of SABC1 soapie Uzalo, from 2015 to 2017, and Thato on Seasons 1, 3 and 6 of the Mzansi Magic telenovela The River, between 2018 and 2023.
On Mzansi Magic he also had roles on drama series Abomama, Rockville, The Republic and Shaka iLembe.
He played Mandla Shabane on the 2024 Netflix drama series Soon Comes Night and starred on BET's 2024 boxing drama Pound 4 Pound where he played Jacob.
Don also had roles on SABC1's Makoti, SABC2's Stokvel, e.tv's uMbali and M-Net's Legacy.
Don died on 16 April, 2025, at the age of 65. His cause of death was not made public.
