Darlington Michaels was a South African actor best known for his starring role as flamboyant gangster Georgie "Papa G" Zamdela in the SABC3 soap opera Isidingo, from 1998.
He also had a starring role as conman Daliza in the Mzansi Magic sitcom Chandies, in 2012.
In 2015 he starred in the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Road where he played Themba Mashinini, an elderly man who wrote his memoirs about his life in Sophiatown in the 1950s.
In 2020 he starred in the Mzansi Magic soccer drama series Vula Vala as Gab, a township thug who gets involved in the affairs of the family who own a football club.
Darlington's death was announced on 13 September 2024 and the cause was not disclosed.
