Darren Maule is a South African actor and stand-up comedian best known for his role as Grant Fletcher on the SABC3 drama series Hard Copy, and for hosting the SABC3 game show Out of the Box.

He also hosted the daytime game show Play TV on SABC3, from 2003-2005.

After 10 years of specialising in physical comedy, he shifted his focus to stand-up and in a few short years he's established himself as a top South African comic.

He has appeared on Comedy Showcase and the Comedy Express Video and works countrywide at Comedy Express venues.

He is actively involved in searching for new comedy venues and organising open mic evenings, to give new comics the opportunity to test their craft in front of an audience.

In 2006 he played the role of Jack in the corporate made-for-TV movie FHM Sexiest Woman in the World 2006, which aired on M-Net.

The movie chronicles the adventures of an intrepid reporter Jack, who is charged with getting pictures of Carla la Reservee, after she wins the annual FHM 100 Sexiest competition.

In 2007 he was cast as the lead role in the sitcom FONT, which premiered on SABC3 on 11 October.

Darren was one of the contestant panelists on the SABC2 game show Where Were You?, from August to November, 2008.

In 2009 he has hosted the late-night talk show Last Say on Sunday, on SABC3 and he was one of the celebrity contestants on M-Net's Survivor South Africa: Santa Carolina, in 2010.

Darren was a featured comedian in the November episode of the Comedy Central series Comedy Central Presents... Live at Parker's, in 2012.
