Robert Mongi Gathecha (Bobby) was born on the 6th of November 1978 and has studied in Kenya and Tanzania. He spent most of his early years in Nairobi, Kenya but in 1992 his mother moved them all (his elder brother Evans and his twin Eva) back to Tanzania. Bobby presents a popular drive time show on Clouds FM (ranked second countrywide) called The Traffic jam. He have a passion for music and enjoys DJing, he sometimes records music (hip hop) and has two singles out. He is an outgoing person who is always eager to learn new things. His television debut was on Studio 53 where he covered a story on wooden sculpture in Bagamoyo. Prior to that he had featured on a local AIDS campaign commercial for AMREF in Tanzania. He enjoys working with the camera crew and this fuels his ambition to venture into the film business. For him every second he spends on the set is a learning experience - and that is what he considers thrilling.
