Nolo Phiri is a South African actress best known for her starring role as Niki Bongco, a spontaneous, very street-wise girl who has a great sense of humour and is overtly flirtatious, in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City.
Phiri was born in Limpopo in a village called Musina. She moved to Johannesburg with her mother in 1990 and studied at the National School of Arts (NSA). After matric, Nolo pursued her love for the arts at Wits, where she completed her Honours in Dramatic Arts.
She later landed a role on Muvhango before joining Rhythm City and made her debut into the fashion industry as a brand ambassador for RAGE. She is also an executive producer at Redefine Multimedia, and has produced numerous documentaries as well as vibrant music videos for artists like Mandoza and Psyfo.
When she is not in front of the camera, Nolo extends her talent to emceeing. She has a son called Leruo (meaning "Wealth"), born in 2013.
