Bio

Haley Lu Richardson is an American actress best known for her recurring role as Tess Hamilton, Olivia's former best friend who seeks to take over the number one spot now that Olivia is falling from grace, in the teen drama mystery-thriller television series Ravenswood, from 2013-2014.

Haley Lu was raised in Phoenix, Arizona by right-brained creative parents, Valerie (graphic designer) and Forrest Richardson (golf course architect). Her desire to entertain was apparent to her and everyone around her from a very early age.

Haley Lu attended Villa Montessori school where she learned virtues and found self-motivation, then on to graduate from Arcadia High School in the top 10% of her class.

She was a member of Cannedy Performing Arts competitive dance company for eight years and trained 20 hours a week. During that time she was bestowed prestigious titles within the dance community such as Hollywood Vibe's National Dancer of the Year and the Peoples Choice Award at the Young Artist's competition.

She appeared in a number of theatrical plays and local and national commercials. She moved to LA in 2011 at the age of 16 and booked her first lead role in the TV movie Christmas Twister.

She appeared on Disney Channel's Shake It Up and filmed an anti-bullying campaign for Proctor & Gamble. She starred in three more feature films, The Well, The Young Kieslowski and Escape From Polygamy.

Between films Haley Lu had the pleasure of working alongside Kelly Preston and Jane Seymour in the ABC/20th Century Fox pilot Adopted.

Haley Lu is also a crochet/knitting fanatic and makes handmade hats for the children at the Phoenix Children's Hospital.
