Bio

Bailee Madison is an American actress best known for her role as May Belle Aarons, the younger sister of Jesse Aarons, in the 2007 fantasy film in Bridge to Terabithia; and for her starring role as Hillary, the youngest child of Pete and Diane, younger sister of Warren and stepsister to Bert, in the television sitcom Trophy Wife.

On the big screen, Madison was seen as the daughter of Marisa Tomei and granddaughter of Bette Midler and Billy Crystal in 20th Century Fox and Walden Media's Parental Guidance.

Prior to that, she was in Guillermo Del Toro's thriller, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, with Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce.

In 2009 Madison earned a Critics Choice Movie Award nomination for her work in Jim Sheridan's film, Brothers, opposite Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman (who later recommended Madison for Don't Be Afraid of the Dark).

In addition she was seen in Fox Searchlight's Conviction, with Hilary Swank and Minnie Driver. Other film credits include Letters to God, Hallmark's Taste of Romance, with Teri Polo, Cowgirls N' Angels, with Jackson Rathbone, and Columbia Pictures' Just Go with It, with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston.

Madison captured audiences' hearts with her role as May Belle in Disney's Bridge to Terabithia, impressed with her performance in the independent film Phoebe in Wonderland, starring Felicity Huffman and Elle Fanning, and has appeared on television in NBC's Law & Order: SVU, on Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place for its fourth and final season, and had a recurring role in ABC's Once Upon a Time as young Snow White.

Madison is committed to using her public profile to raise awareness for those less fortunate. In 2011, at the Variety Power of Youth Awards, which pay homage to the industry's most talented young activists, Variety named Madison an honoree for her philanthropic efforts with Alex's Lemonade Stand, an organisation that encourages children nationwide to raise money to find a cure for childhood cancer through running their own lemonade stands.

In 2012 ALSF named her their national Youth Spokesperson.

When Madison isn't traveling, she loves spending time at home with family and friends, barbecuing, swimming and playing on her swing set, with her dog, Maddy, always by her side.
