Melanie Seacat is an American actress best known for her starring role as one of the regular pranksters in the reality comedy hidden camera television series Betty White's Off Their Rockers, in which senior citizens prank members of the younger generation.
Seacat, a native of Los Angeles, was 12 years old when she took her first drama class. After graduating from Hollywood High School and spending time in the pursuit of higher education, marriage and life in general, she found her way back into show business as the personal assistant to Los Angeles TV personality and news anchor, Ralph Story.
She made her on-camera debut as the co-host of his award-winning program, Ralph Story's A.M. She co-hosted A.M. Los Angeles and was a reporter for J-Nex Video News Express and The Saturday Show for KNBC.
Acting jobs soon followed on shows like Knots Landing, General Hospital, Days of our Lives, Alf and Murder She Wrote. She was also a regular on the hidden camera game show Anything for Money.
She studied and performed improvisation with The Groundlings and Off the Wall. Her Los Angeles stage credits include Bus Stop at the Met Theater, Entertaining Mr. Sloane at the Odyssey, and her two-woman show Behind Every Good Woman, There's Another One, which ran for over a year to rave reviews.
Seacat worked with Charles Bronson on the feature film Messenger of Death, with Chuck Norris in Hero and the Terror, and, most recently, with Joaquin Phoenix in the Untitled Rick Howard Project, directed by Spike Jonze.
