Matthew Lillard is an American actor, director and producer best known for his roles as Stu Macher in Scream, Stevo in SLC Punk and Shaggy Rogers in the Scooby-Doo film series.

He also plays the role of Daniel Frye, a newspaper reporter whose once-promising career has been derailed by a life of parties and substance abuse, in the crime drama series The Bridge.

Lillard's film credits include his role as Brian Speer in the award-winning feature film The Descendants, Trouble with The Curve, and Scooby Doo; and his TV credits include House, Criminal Minds and Law and Order: SVU.
