Reeva Steenkamp (19 August, 1983 - 14 February, 2013) was a South African model and law graduate best known for being an FHM cover girl and for her relationship with athlete Oscar Pistorius.
Reeva was born in Cape Town and moved to Port Elizabeth as a child, where she continued her studies after matriculating, eventually graduating with a degree in law from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
She moved to Johannesburg in 2007 after being scouted and was named the first face of cosmetics giant Avon South Africa.
After that, Reeva travelled between Johannesburg and Cape Town to film and shoot some of South Africa's leading campaigns and commercials. Toyota, FHM, Clover and Italian brand Zui were some of the more prestigious clients she worked for.
She was named in the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World list for two years running and featured in the FHM December 2011 cover shoot.
With a background in TV presenting, once the live roaming presenter for FashionTV in South Africa, Reeva later had smaller TV roles.
She was one of the celebrity cast members on the fifth season of the SABC1 reality competition Tropika Island of Treasure, in 2013.
Three days before the premiere of Tropika Island of Treasure, on 14 February 2013, Reeva was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend Oscar Pistorius in his home, suffering four gunshot wounds. She was 29.
