Krysta Rodriguez is an American actress who works primarily in musical theatre best known to television audiences for her starring role as Ana, Karen's (Katharine McPhee) lively new actress roommate who struggles with the realities of launching a career in the theatre, in the musical drama series Smash, in 2013.
California native Rodriguez is a seasoned stage performer, having appeared on Broadway in the original casts of In the Heights, Spring Awakening and Good Vibrations as well as the revival of A Chorus Line.
Rodriguez also originated the role of Wednesday Addams in the Broadway production of The Addams Family.
Other theatre credits include Bye Bye Birdie at Encores!, the national tour of The Boy Friend directed by Julie Andrews and the title role in Gidget the Musical directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
She was also seen on television as a guest star on Gossip Girl.
