Bio

Zuleikha Robinson is an English actress best known for her television roles as Yves Adele Harlow in the X-Files spin-off, The Lone Gunmen (2001), and as the slave Gaia in the second season of Rome (2007).

She made her screen acting debut in the 2000 Mike Figgis film Timecode.

Her role in Lone Gunmen followed in 2001, and she appeared in all 13 episodes that were aired in the US before the show was cancelled prematurely.

She revived her Lone Gunmen role the following year in a crossover episode with The X Files, entitled "Jump the Shark" (Season 9, Episode 15).

Her next project was a minor role in the 2002 horror film Slash, in which a rock band gets stuck on a haunted farm while visiting its lead singer's family.

A two-year break followed, after which she re-appeared in the lead female role in 2004's Hidalgo, playing Jazira, the love interest of Viggo Mortensen's character.

She next played the role of Jessica in a film adaptation of The Merchant of Venice, also in 2004, before taking another two-year break from screen acting.

In 2006 she played a minor role in Mira Nair's film The Namesake and in 2007 had a seven-episode recurring role as an errant, decadent slave called Gaia working for Titus Pullo in the second season of the HBO drama series Rome.

In 2007 she was been cast as one of the leads in New Amsterdam, about a New York homicide detective who is immortal. The series received a 13-episode order from the FOX network on 31 May, 2007, and premiered in 2008. It was cancelled after only eight episodes had aired.

In 2008 she starred in the biopic Vivaldi, starring Joseph Fiennes in the title role.

Robinson was born in London, England, raised in Thailand and Malaysia and is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.
