Bio

Jonny Coyne is an English actor best known for his starring role as Warden Edwin James in the short-lived science fiction television series Alcatraz, in 2012.

Jonny earned a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and upon his graduation, he was granted the Hannam Clarke Award. He then chose to work in the theatre, which is his first love and to which he frequently returns between film and television work.

After many years working in theatre, TV and film in the United Kingdom, and the release of his films Sharpe's Peril in India with Sean Bean and The Nutcracker: The Untold Story (directed by the legendary Andrei Konchalovsky and co-starring Nathan Lane and John Turturro), Coyne moved to Los Angeles in late 2009.

He has made guest appearances in numerous television series including Casualty, EastEnders, Pulling, The Bill, Silent Witness, Hotel Babylon, The Adventures of Merlin and Undercovers.

Coyne splits his time between Vancouver, Los Angeles and London.
