Busi Mtshali is a South African actress best known for starring as the title character Thandeka, an intelligent high schooler and is often led by her curiosity into sticky situations, in the SABC1 sitcom Thandeka's Diary.
She was previously known for her starring role as working girl Shirley Dlamini in the Mzansi Magic crime drama series Mshika-shika, in 2012.
Mtshali did a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic arts Honours degree at the Witwatersrand University. She has worked on a few productions, but her role as Shirley on Mshika-shika was her first major industry role.
In 2014 she had a starring role as Fikile Mathubela, who lands a prestigious internship with luxury fashion label, Cocoa Rouge, in the second season of the e.tv anthology romance series Mzansi Love: Kasi Style. She also had a guest starring role as DJ Gugs on the SABC3 soapie Isidingo.
In 2015 she began starring in Thandeka's Diary, which returned for a second season in 2016.
