Claire Holt is an Australian actress best known for her recurring role as Rebekah, the sister of Klaus and one of the Original Vampires, in the horror television series The Vampire Diaries and its spinoff series The Originals.
She is also known for her starring role as Emma in the Australian series H20: Just Add Water, from 2006-2009. The show later aired on Disney Channel Australia, as well as in syndication in over 120 countries.
She also appeared as Chastity in Mean Girls 2, played Lindsey in Messengers 2: The Scarecrow and played the recurring role of Samara in Pretty Little Liars.
Born in Brisbane, Holt began her career in showbiz in her native Australia, appearing in ad campaigns for Sizzler, Dreamworld Theme Park, and Queensland Surf Livesaving.
While in school, Holt excelled at sports like Tae-Kwon-Do (in which she holds a black belt), swimming, volleyball and water polo.
When not acting, Holt enjoys singing, playing the piano and guitar, and shopping with friends.
