Bio

Rachel DiPillo is an American actress best known for her starring role as Dr. Sarah Reese, a fourth-year medical student who is a classic overachiever but may soon find that she's in over her head, on the medical drama television series Chicago Med.

She was previously known for her recurring role as Lexie Wade in the supernatural horror series The Gates, in 2010.

Born in Michigan and raised throughout Ohio and Tennessee, DiPillo was introduced to the arts at an early age. She spent her summers watching her mom and older sister rehearse for musicals, followed their footsteps into dance, and when she was 12, she auditioned for her first play, Once on This Island, Jr. To her surprise, she landed the lead role, and she has been acting ever since.

At 18, DiPillo moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting with the promise to also attend college. Six months after the move, she booked a job in Shreveport, Louisiana, to work on ABC's summer series The Gates, and college was put on hold.

Since then, DiPillo has booked recurring roles on notable programs such as Mad Men, Revenge and Jane the Virgin. Her additional television credits include guest roles on Bones, Law & Order: LA and Emily Owens M.D.

On the film front, DiPillo has been cast in many independent films, including Summer of 8, Recovery and the quirky, independent dramedy Hello, My Name Is Frank.

While DiPillo's focus is on acting, she also enjoys singing, organising, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
