Brian J. Smith is an American actor best known for his starring role as Lt. Matthew Scott in the science fiction television series Stargate Universe, from 2009-2011.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Smith is a graduate of the four-year acting program at The Julliard School in New York City.
Since graduation, Smith has starred in the feature film The War Boys, written by award winning playwright Naomi Wallace and Bruce McLeod, and appeared in the thriller Red Hook, both in 2009. He guest-starred on Law & Order in the same year.
Smith appeared on Broadway in Come Back, Little Sheba opposite Epatha Merkerson and, off-Broadway, in Good Boys and True, and Three Changes, opposite Dylan McDermott and Maura Tierney.
