Eugene Alper is a Russian-born American actor and musician who has appeared in such television series as Cybill, Work with Me, Time of Your Life, Bull, The West Wing, 24 and ER.
He plays the role of Dr. Lazlo in Gemini Division, a web series about Anna Diaz, an undercover vice cop from the NYPD who is thrust into a secret struggle between a classified government agency called Gemini Division and a group of suspected terrorists known as Sims.
Born and raised in Russia, Eugene earned his Master's Degree in Theater in St. Petersburg before he emigrated to Los Angeles in 1989.
He has made a host of television appearances on The West Wing, 24, Time of Your Life, and Cybil. He also had the leading role of Count Rezanov in the History Channel's miniseries Conquest of America.
A classically trained actor, Eugene is a member of the Antaeus Company and his theatrical roles have varied from A Christmas Carol's Scrooge, to Otto Preminger, to Lucretius in Shakespeare's The Rape of Lucrece.
With his own accompaniment on the guitar, Eugene's renditions of traditional Russian and Gypsy songs have made him a beloved cultural asset in the Eastern European community.
