Evette Wessels is a South African model best known as one of the Top 12 finalists in the 2009 Miss South Africa pageant.

Evette Wessels, 22 comes from Kroonstad in the Free State.
She is studying Journalism, specialising in travel and tourism at the University of Pretoria and is in her final year and will be finishing her degree in November 2009.
She worked for Getaway in the July recess and also writes freelance articles for Beeld – she intends to pursue a career in journalism.
Evette is inspired by today’s younger generation - talented, beautiful, successful young people that stand out in society and are exemplary role models. She would like to empower young people and be the change the world wants to see.
"I want to win Miss SA so that I can actively campaign for HIV/AIDS. The whole world’s eyes will be upon South Africa in 2010 and that gives me as Miss SA the opportunity to make an even bigger impact and to help promote the plight of HIV/AIDS sufferers."
