It's directed by 7de Laan's Christo Davids, which is cool, and produced by Clive Morris Productions - which makes us think of the Queendom tragedy unfortunately.

Set against the backdrop of Westbury's notorious gang territories, Red Zone follows Wade Jacobs, a young man who has defied the odds to escape the cycle of violence by becoming a paramedic.

However, his commitment to his new path is tested when his uncle Sean Jacobs, leader of the feared "Red Bones" gang, falls victim to a drive-by shooting.

Despite Westbury being designated as a 'red zone' - where emergency services require police escorts due to the risk of robbery and violence - Wade and his partner Zahra Ahmed (Carla Classen) break protocol to save his uncle's life.

This decision plunges Wade into a dangerous turf war between rival gangs, putting both his career and life at risk.

This film explores the complex reality of communities where violence is endemic, and the difficult choices faced by those trying to make a difference.

It's about family, loyalty, and the steep price of redemption.
