I have to agree with that SMS,.. if she could only channel that energy. She is going to explode tomorrow! According to the information that we received, it took place on 01 Aug 2007 - SA/Moz border on the SA side. Hope you will enjoy your take-ways and get the necessary energy for the rest of the evening.

Been there before one too many times. It is home to SANTAC (the regional network body of trafficking and abuse of children). I am just too tired to deal with the hassles of tickets and visas. And I always have a problem with that airport issued visas. But I am obsessed with the Hurricane.. She assaulted the elderly? Some serious anger issues

That is the only information we received. They supplied the information so that we can use it as a case study. Only afterwards, we were told that it is in fact a true story. Horrific But as you know, trafficking is a very organized business and it smells like a cover up. As for the boy, it sounds as if things are moving to a point. Most likely he would get parole soon. Not soon enough in my opinion but still I am less anxious. I think Werners snooping shook the perfect glass castles of some people a bit. I am forever indebted to you for that. Thank you so much.

On the head-butting, yes, someone was saying Luqman should watch it as he's not all that big!!! ... Try and get to Moz if u can. Haven't been, but everyone raves about it.

I do not want to be head-butted. Hiehiehie.. One very dangerous woman. Am supposed to fly to Maputo tomorrow but am still waiting for my e-ticket. Think I might just go straight back home. That woman is rof, grof and onbeskof! She floored her husband? He is big. did you see him? Oh my, someone should please save us from that woman. Is it still about the Doggs acceptance speech? Or is it the old GMP and Mushasha (sp) nonsense? And did the national coach get help for his little medical problem? Gosh, I never laughed so hard when I read about his controversial medical problem. So much for freedom of speech! Viva the bill of rights. Fyi,.. I am attending a child trafficking meeting. Our case study for the day: A collaborating partner of Save the Children Norway in Mozambique reported a recent case of trafficking of human organs at the Ressano Garcia border. They received the account from a close associate of theirs working at the border. Save the Children Norway in Mozambique hav spoken directly with associate and in August 2007 they described the following: 'On 1 Aug 2007, around 10 o'clock in the morning, a woman and her son, of about 8 years old were travelling by car to SA. They crossed the Moz border. On the SA side, the vehicle that the woman was driving was checked by the police and nothing abnormal was found. The woman then started to drive off, when the police notice blood on the ground where the car had stopped. The police ran after the card and ordered the woman to stop. They again checked the vehicle and found 17 little heads of children, frozen in plastic bags. The SA police called the Moz police but only two customs police showed up. The incident was witnessed by many other people that were at the border and some even took pictures on their mobile telephones. The SA police appeared to be filming everything. The women that sell food by the border who saw what the car contained, were so angry, they wanted to kill the woman that was transporting the children's heads. The SA police took the woman and her son, in seperate cars, to the police houses next to the border. After that, nothing else was known abou this fact. Nothing was reported in the media.' The facilitators of the meeting, Save the Children Norway, claim that the story is true. One social worker also claims that she received footage of the heads via e-mail.

Eish, leave our regional president alone! Hiehiehie you guys (the media) missed us (the honourable)! I am not in the country but my colleague sent me an sms about the controversial elections. A popular psssttt is that she is running an illegal business. Apparently she said that she will not register her salon as there are many illegal shebeens. So why must she register her salon. As for the boy. We do not dispute that he is bad. But but. There are procedures and structures (see NGO talk and I am doing it / or not purposely! Hehe) to deal with children like him. Did they even consider his size and vulnerability in prison. They should go to Hardap prison and see for himself.... that little boy and the vultures. And then they try to sleep at night ....because God knows I can't sleep. He is vulnerable and neglected. He has to fend for himself. Like hundreds of other children in Namibia. Our wonderful social workers should have gotten up from their lovely (or not) behinds and solved the damn problem a long time ago. Now they, recommended a reform school. How does that make sense? School for 2 months and this time of the year? Let me not get started on the school! It is hundreds of ks away from his family. So, reintegration is almost impossible. He was sentenced for 6 months,.. meaning he will only serve 2 months. Also, the journey upwards will take 2 months moving from prison to prison until he reaches his destination. But it is all about passing on responsibilities. It is so much easier to write a one page letter of recommendation as long as they dont have to deal with the hassle of doing a childrens court enquiry.

Thank for the juice. Read the interviews with Tatiana and Richard. Interesting they dont say much. Their responses sound almost rehearsed. Your colleague (I cannot and will not try to spell that name) was quite tough on Tatiana with the adultery question.. hehehe I caught the strange flu bug that is going around so I am high on medication (self-medicating right now). I cant get use to the smalltown medical services - the doctors give me the creeps (even after 3 years of residing in this town) but my colleagues are not impressed with me spreading the germs and they made an appointment for me with one of the docs. Did you get a chance to speak to Meryl? I am trying to compile some information on The Bridge the projects that what and we done we are planning. Will try to send it to you tomorrow or today depends on what wonders the brews of the smalltown doc will do.

We have an excellent networking programme with the police officers, magistrates and prosecutors. Cant say the same about our relationship with the education sector. Anyway, it is no around 04:10pm and it seems as if something happened between O and Richard - apparently the dweep told O that he kissed her and he dared her to do it in front of Tatiana. Apparently O is very angry and she cried in the bathroom. Want to know if you saw any of it and if it is true? Darn, I need a tv in my office. Ps. Once again... great article today. Hello Meme J! What a weekend! First, let me explain to you my little internet disaster. I moved homes last year after the flood twice. However, I am still in the flood area, so I am not really settled. Stacks and stacks of unpacked boxes. For that very same reason, I did not apply to Telecom to transfer my telephone line. I want to be extremely mobile. Hey, I am in severe traumatic mode. And we smalltown people do not know anything about wireless connection and all that jazz. Thus, I cant plug-in dear old laptop and has to rely on my cellphone to connect to the net and to read my mail. Anyway, I am honored that you add me as a friend. I am a bit reluctant to add people as friends,.. not want to be seen as presumptuous and all that blah. Back to the weekend. I made a window dressing appearance at the 10th Anniversary celebration (Adoption of the decentralization policy) or shall I say the disaster that was supposed to be a celebration. After I broke bread with the politicians, I settled before my TV on my own (boyfriend is somewhere in Africa) and I was confronted with Richards antics. I am so horrified and do not want to dwell on the details. You know it all. I read the article that you and Natasha wrote. Brilliant. That is why is I am such a loyal reader of your newspaper. Oh, something else I wanted to mention. One of the celebrities that are doing some work for us (more specifically with the boys detained in Hardap prison) got some t-shirts for the boys from your newspaper last year. I totally forgot about that until this morning when I accompanied one of my colleagues on a supervision visit and saw some of the boys wearing the t-shirts. I have pics,.. if you are interested.

OK, Toxic. Google can be weird some times! Just been checking it out. My name with BBA produces very little! So much for me :) Anyway, worked out what seems to be the best way. Go to Google, then click on NEWS, once in NEWS type Big Brother Africa in SEARCH. Don't type my name! OK, I didn't go all the way through. But look out for some of these headlines ...................... BBA: The 'Idiot's Guide'; BBA: Let them eat minnow; BBA: About the Bezuidenhout Boy; BBA: Ofunneka loses her 'virginity'; BBA: The Unbearable Lightness of Laughter and Being!; BBA: The House of Wax; BBA: Days of Their Lives; BBA: Dude, Where's My Entertainment?; BBA: Face to Face with Bertha; Dude, make up your mind. That's not all the articles but the most recent. Includes some of my faves! Our site not 'active' in terms of responses. I know, I know, we should be more organised, but our website badly needs to be upgraded. As it is, in the transferral process, paragraphs break in weird places, italics for emphasis don't come out, the crossheads end up ... wherever ... Hope this helps!

Hey Shuga! Don't know why, but I struggled to get into your guestbook a bit earlier. But think I left a message for u there Thursday or Friday. Hope so. Coincidentally, yes I saw the thread on the BBA forum and blushed. Pop in there every now and again to check what people are saying and thinking, etc, especially after evictions and nominations and stumbled over my name rather like Code stumbled over his girlfriend 2nite! But I get some hard flak too. Some people get pretty intense about the show. Columns meant to be tongue in cheek, and hopefully entertaining now and again. I don't hate any of the housemates. Just try to take the diss out of them and their supporters ... uhmmm ... a bit. Got an e-mail from Code's girl Juna last week. She said even though I wasn't too "positive" about her man, she thought it was funny. But not everyone sees it that way, as you are well aware!!

Oh yeah, WSG, tell me what you think of tomorrow's front page. Honestly. As you will see, it's different from the usual, and was a challenge: to combine the tragedy of Lucky Dube and the triumph of the Springboks. So decided to go for a strong visual impact. Also, have spoken to our Weekendr peeps and suggested that they make Lucky the focus this Friday. Tributes from Namibian artists, maybe a vox pops, etc. It's so, so tragic. Such talent, such an icon, and a precious life.

Heya WhiteSockGirl, Meryl popped in briefly on Friday. Botswana trip postponed for now, but she was off to Zambia that night. Peeps there invited her for some event on Saturday (yesterday). Anyway, we'll liaise when she gets back, as there wasn't too much time and she was battling with a throat problem. I have a few other requests for her which need to pass on, etc. So you're not forgotten! OK, so then on Saturday I'm at the checkout point in Clicks and my phone goes. All sorts of drama for M. Plane previous night had had to turn back. Sat morn airlines were struggling to accommodate everyone on connecting flights, and she was stressing about missing Lusaka connection, 30 minutes and counting type of stuff. All sorts of airport and bureaucratic problems. Anyway, eventually sorted. By then her air time was up I then had to communicate with peeps in Zambia. So I think I'm the agent for now!! Only kidding. Anyway, don't know how it all went on the other side. Well, I hope! And all's well with you, I hope!!

It's primarily for a competition we run every week, but if you mark it reader's response I will pick it out. Though I don't write every day, I oversee the page. Address is: bba@namibian.com.na or can give you my personal e-address, if u prefer. We also try and run a selection of messages from the SMS strip a few times a week. A popular feature!
