There is one new show starting tonight and one show is ending.

STARTING

SHOW: Building The Biggest

Channel: Discovery Season: n/a Time: 21h00 Episodes: 6
The biggest, the longest, the fastest, the scariest. Engineers are taking their skills into literally uncharted territories.

In the ceaseless quest for knowledge, a vast orbiting laboratory is being built hundreds of kilometres above the Earth. To provide society with the energy it needs, engineers are laying the world’s longest gas pipeline across the bottom of a hostile sea.

To keep us all moving freely, incredible feats of railway engineering are being undertaken, replacing track on one of the world’s busiest lines and installing a new rail system beneath the bustle of one of the world’s great cities.

Meanwhile, a new breed of diamond hunter is venturing into the frozen wastelands of the Canadian Arctic in search of treasure. For those who seek thrills, three brand new record-breaking roller coasters are about to be unveiled. And to provide the most terrifying ride possible they are each made of ... wood!

Building the Biggest is about the billion-dollar construction projects that shape our everyday world. From pipelines to power stations and sewers to skyscrapers, we'll find out about the teams and machines working on the projects that make our lives possible.

ENDING

SHOW: Survivor XI: Guatemala

Channel: SABC3 Season: 11 Time: 19h30 Replaced by: The Amazing Race (8)
The season finale is split into two segments tonight, as usually happens with Survivor finales.

At 19h30 will be the finale, in which the remaining four contestants will be whittled down to the final two.

The News In 60 Seconds will follow at 20h30, after which Survivor will continue at 20h31, with the final tribal council and the Reunion show, during which the sole Survivor will be revealed.

Survivor is replaced next week by The Amazing Race 8: Family Edition, which consists of 14 episodes.
