Sibusiso takes a bold step towards dissolving Thoba and Didi’s relationship. The vow renewal ceremony is now tainted with a bitter taste after Mshengu blocks it.

Mshengu clarifies there will be no vow renewal celebrations if MaMchunu is not present. Meanwhile, Nqubeko feels for Nomsa. Didi finds herself at the centre of a love triangle with Sbu and Thoba.

Khathazile worries something bad will happen at the renewal ceremony, while Mshengu tries to forbid everyone from attending. The Shabalala brothers find joy for the first time in a long time.

Mshengu cuts ties with all his sons and bans them from his house and businesses. Khathazile is an emotional wreck. Thoba advises Didi against keeping Sbu away from the baby.

Mshengu reminds everyone who runs the show. The brothers and Fakazile band together and declare war on Mshengu. Sibusiso refuses to accommodate Thoba and Didi’s co-parenting arrangement.

A confused, utterly paranoid Mshengu doesn’t understand why no one wants him to see his wife. Fakazile closes the Shabalala chapter. Thoba and Sibusiso pray for their grandfather.
