This is it. A first look at Mzansi Magic's new telenovela Genesis, which replaces
My Brother's Keeper when it goes dark on Friday 17 April.
Genesis is set in the gospel music industry and stars Baby Cele who headlines her eighth soapie.
To date she's starred on Backstage, Is'phindiselo, iNkaba, Ring Of Lies, Zabalaza, Sibongile & The Dlaminis and Uzalo, where she played Gabisile for seven seasons.
She also had a guest role as
Colonel Sibongile "Bongi" Nene on Isidingo.
On Genesis she plays Felicia Thabethe, a singer-turned-music producer who used to be the queen of gospel.
Felicia owns music label Genesis Records with her husband Gabriel and believes they've built an unshakeable legacy but... shocking secrets surface and everything she's worked for is thrown into chaos.
Genesis Records is at risk and Felicia must fight to protect her family's name before it all crumbles.
Other cast includes KB Motsilanyane, Nay Maps, Buyile Mdladla, Gaosi Raditholo and Kealeboga Masango.
