Coming up on Skeem Saam: a new adversary for Mr Kgomo...


Tselane Pitjeng, played by former Thobela FM gospel presenter Raesetja Faith Choshi, who comes with two backstories:

1. 

Tselane was introduced on Friday (12 July) at Skeem Saam's Turf Hospital as the new Human Resources Manager.

She's a no-nonsense woman from Polokwane who's confident in her skin and has a strong drive to succeed in life.
 
She has plans to implement new policies at the hospital, but she's going to find herself up against Mr Kgomo. 

2. 

In 2019 Raesetja was accused of plotting to murder her ex-boyfriend, ANC councillor Steve Mashabela. The incident allegedly happened at the end of 2016.
 
She was arrested three years later and faced five charges including conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, perjury and defeating the ends of justice, along with two co-accused Mabetha Mapoulo and Peter Mongadi.

Raesetja was released on R1,000 bail and in May 2019 her lawyer Mphafolane Koma told Sowetan Live that there was no case against her and that he was applying to have the case withdrawn.

We presume this happened because we can't find any follow-up or report on what happened after that and now she's on Skeem Saam.

This is Raesetja's second role on TV - she played a designer on Seasons 2 and 3 of The River.
