Arendsvlei actress Robyn Rossouw as Amina, the "newcomer"
referred to in the teasers who's going to unsettle Rebecca, revealing old secrets.
Amina arrives at Salt & Fire looking for her Aunt Cheryl. She's interested in an internship in conservation and hopes to study at UCT but first she has to negotiate family politics - including establishing whether she is, indeed, a member of the Solomons family.
She’ll butt heads with Rebecca and muddy the waters with Gavin and Martin.
A quote from Amina:
“I'm quite similar to Amina in a lot of aspects. We really mirror each other quite a lot, lol. I think the only difference between us is the fact that she's Muslim and I'm Christian.
And Amina is very vocal and stubborn because of how headstrong she is. Whereas I'm strong, but more quiet about it. Everything else - like our values, quite similar.”
