One of the
many lies we were told on the show. First there was Khosi who lied so much Ebuka couldn't even speak to her anymore when they crossed over to the house.
"I guess I'm not gonna get an honest answer from you," he frowned while Khosi sat squirming on the couch, refusing to be open and upfront about what's happening in her relationship with Yemi and Thabang.
Every season housemates react the same way. They're big stuff while they're misbehaving inside the house and then they get coy and guarded when they're confronted in front of us.
Then there was Marvin who got overly animated and sweaty as he pretended that his relationship with Yaya hasn't been one-sided, with her liking him a lot more than he likes her.
Either he didn't want to make her look bad, or he was just terrified of what would happen after the show if he was honest.
Yaya did say that she wouldn't see him as much outside of the house so maybe she plans to let him loose. Was that a lie or the truth?
Both Ebuka and Lawrence did a good job of pushing everyone for honesty, and commenting when we didn't get it, with Lawrence declaring "I feel like I was watching a different Big Brother," after Marvin's desperate monologue.
One person they didn't tackle though was Big Brother himself who's lying to us each week.
That 10-second countdown he does after he's told housemates to leave the house - it's total nonsense - it's not 10 seconds at all. It's almost double.
We timed it, from the moment he says "10" to "1" and it's 19.03 seconds.
