BB Titans - Mmeli at the mercy of Jenni O in format flaw

Meh! It sucks that Mmeli's gone.

Jenni O's eviction on Sunday night was understandable because she's now American and also, she's enough to terrify the bejeezus out of the bravest of viewers.

But Mmeli's eviction was unfair - his fortunes were hooked to Jenni's horror-struck, hysterical voice and he was toast because of her. There was nothing he could do to save himself, which is a horribly disempowering situation for contestants.

It's the flaw of this double eviction set-up, which is ultimately the flaw of this season's format. The production has obviously put them in double-up teams with one person from each country so that viewers can't vote according to country, but it's creating this problem now.

Mmeli was very honest about how surprised he was by his ousting and we were too.

We've been intrigued by him since the start for various reasons but mostly because he was born and raised in Hillbrow and managed to make to make it out alive. Who does that?

Also, he seems quite stable, other than when he's raging and freaking out, but that's interesting too because that's what Hillbrow will do to ya' - at least that's what we've heard. Is it true?

If you were born and bred there, give us a holler and let us know.

Both Mmeli and Jenni O took their evictions quite well, probably because they could huddle on the couch instead of feeling exposed in the solo interviews as they've been so far.

Hopefully the show keeps this because it added an intimacy that definitely made them more relaxed, despite the fact that they were facing Ebuka who's become as scary as Jenni.

We were tickled to see that his digs continued this week, this time directed towards the housemates instead of Lawrence who deserved a jibe or two for those shiny, pink pants.

But the housemates deserved Ebuka's Mr Mean more, firstly because of the dirty state of the house, which was shocking, and secondly because they've turned the show into a glorified orgy. Yes, sex sells, but really now, they need to come up with new drama besides endless threesomes.

Which two of them actually did, but didn't even get a mention. On Saturday night Nelisa and Nana shared a long sm-ooh-ch but Ebuka didn't grill them on it at all. Also, when it happened, Jenni O came over and grabbed them apart.

Why?

Must be because homosexuality is illegal is Nigeria. This from wikipedia...

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons in Nigeria face legal and social challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents.

LGBT rights are generally infringed upon and homosexuality is illegal in Nigeria and punishable by up to 14 years of prison in the conventional court system.
