here and today MultiChoice announced the news that they're launching two DStv pop-up channels as an "intervention" to loadshedding titled SWITCH'D ON.
As with Openview's POWER-UP!, they're for TV luvvas to catch-up on their fave daily shows.
They feature primetime soapies and telenovelas from Mzansi Magic, kykNET & Kie and Mzansi Wethu and each episode will be repeated up to fives times.
According to MultiChoice, "DStv Premium and DStv Compact Plus subscribers will continue to be able to view their favourite content through Catch-up and on the DStv app as well."
The channels are available according to packages like so:
Premium, Compact Plus and Compact:
Channel: 109
Times: 06h00 to midnight.
Access and Family:
Channel: 110
Times: 07h30 to midnight.
Shows featured include Gomora, The River, Arendsvlei, Gqeberha: The Empire etc.
