Special notes

No high note for Idols despite Somizi's comeback

Randall Abrahams and Unathi uWeepy are gone, new judges took their seats and Somizi's back.

All of this has had no positive impact on the low note that struck Idols last season.

In fact, viewership for the most watched episode this season was almost 10,000 less than the most watched episode of Season 17's final month in November last year, decreasing from 753,367 to 743,516.

Audience Share was also down, dropping from 9.6 to 8.4.

A real verdict of "Meh" from viewers.

House of Zwide finale showstopper

The Season 1 finale on Friday 15 July attracted the highest viewership for the series since its premiere a year ago.

It began with 4,241,023 viewers and Season 1 ended with 4,918,290 viewers, a 16% increase of 677,267.

Watch out Scandal!

House of Zwide only needs 393,030 more people to become e.tv's No. 1 show.

The Estate should have kept the gates open

Season 3 of The Estate failed to make a primetime impact on S3. Season 2 was in the channel's Top 20 when it ended in April with 340,269 viewers for its most watched episode but it's nowhere to be seen now, revealing that it should never have gone off-air between the two seasons.

You snooze, you lose. The three-month break damaged the show.

The Omnibus also lost viewers unfortunately, declining from 487,769 viewers in April to 361,509 this month.
