One week to go until a Season 3 winner gets chosen, either by viewers or by Themba, depending on which way the votes go.
Here's a wrap of Sunday's penultimate episode which resulted in the evictions of Thato Mokoena, Sis Tamara Samela and Tantalising Terry while Gash1 and Mphowabadimo were saved:
The good
1. The fact that Terry's going back to her adult content creation so her lusty fans should be happy.
2. There's no need to worry about pronouns when it comes to a winner. It would have gotten awks if Sis Tamara had won.
3. Only one more week of suffering bad sound and poor production values.
4. No singers upstaged the housemates.
5. Terry describing her first day in the house as the highlight of her experience. Honesty is good. What does this say about the rest of her time on the show?
The bad
A Top 5 instead of a Top 6. Only two housemates should have left on Sunday instead of three.
Ending with a Top 5 was just too predictable and also, it means Themba's chosen
half the finalists, which defeats the point of the show. It belongs to viewers and now Themba's had as much power as viewers in choosing who gets to the end.
It's an unfair distribution of power and there's too much of that going on in the world right now. We don't need it in our reality TV too.
The twisted
1. Lawrence's short pants that turned his sockless Bata Toughees into clown shoes.
2. Gash1 elbowing out his girlfriend Thato and her loving him for it. Last week he betrayed her in his plea to Themba and he did so without hesitation and now Thato's declaring her love for him.
They should have shown her Gash1's interaction with Themba in her exit interview. It would have been brutal but would have done the trick.
3. Deloitte's continued insistence on performing procedures on the housemates.
