On Friday 21 January eExtra switches one supernatural shero for another.
Vishkanya replaces
Naagin 3 at 16h45, with a localised, English title of Blue Venom Girl.
She's blue and poisonous and gorge obviously, and goes by the name of Aparajita. Her skin turns blue when she feels conflict.
She was born as a Visha Kanya, a mythological Hindi being, best described today as a femme fatale.
The story goes that these Visha Kanya girls had poison in their blood and bodily fluids and could kill someone by touch or a kiss.
Emperors would use them to assassinate their enemies.
Flashforward to eExtra and the lead character's mother wants this from her. Aparajita is a Visha Kanya but she doesn't know it at first.
Her mother kept her locked up in a room as she was growing up so that she didn't have contact with anyone.
Once grown up, she's allowed out for the first time to attend a party at the Mittal family mansion but not because her mother Kalpana wants her to socialise.
No. Her mother wants her to kill them all.
Kalpana was left paralysed years ago because of Nandita Mittal and now she wants revenge, starting with the murder of Nandita's son Malay.
The problem: Aparajita falls in love with Malay.

Kalpana takes Tapur back home to scold her, leaving Aparajita alone at the party. Aparajita is groped by a drunkard, Vikas Agarwal. She runs into a room where Malay sees her.

Aparajita cries on hearing Tapur remonstrating to Kalpana about her secondary treatment compared to her cousin's.
