Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed that the third season of e.tv's 21h30
success story Imbewu:
The Seed premiered with a change to its title card on Monday, 13 April.
The placement of Imbewu has changed to take over the screen space of "the seed", which has disappeared.
TVSA asked e.tv whassup and the channel's Managing Director Marlon Davids explained:
“The core of the original storyline as to who the true seed of Ngcolosi’s children is has been revealed, and new storylines have since been developed. Our viewers also now know that ‘Imbewu’ means ‘The Seed’, therefore rending it superfluous.”
This means the show has literally changed name for the new season and shall now simply be known as Imbewu, similar to how Isidingo dropped "The Need."
