New seasons of Come Dine With Me South Africa have turned into annual dates.

It's been renewed for Season 6 in 2020 and this time it's set on a different table, with less cutlery when it comes to casting cities.

Premiere episodes are going to air on BBC Lifestyle instead of BBC Brit which means that Compact viewers will see it first run.

Unfortunately the number of filming cities has been reduced, from four to two: Cape Town and Joziburg - you need to live in and around one of these cities to apply.

Rapid Blue will be producing again and the season will be another 12 episodes.

The format remains the same: in each episode, four enthusiastic amateur chefs take it in turns to host a dinner party at their home for the other three. The dinners take place over four nights. At the end of the week the best host wins R10,000.

If you'd like to apply to be a dinner host, this is what you need to know:

Who is the show looking for?

South African residents who:

- live in and around Cape Town or Johannesburg,
- are a whizz in the kitchen,
- have loads of personality & confidence,
- love entertaining,
- have the ability to perform under pressure,
- have what it takes to meet a challenge.

How to apply

You can apply on the BBC South Africa website here: CDWMSA Entries

Must-know dates

Applications opened on Friday, 9 November 2019 and close at 23h59 (SAST) on Sunday, 1 December 2019.

If your application is successful, you'll be called to audition in December.

I love this show, I dont mind that the locations have been reduced seeing I enjoy the Gauteng episodes the most.
