These are the primetime adult television viewing figures for September 2019.

Special notes

At first we we were impressed by how many Mzansi Bioskop movies appear in DStv's Top 30 this month (12 out of 30) and initially presumed it means the channel is chartering new territory.

But it doesn't because the meaning of this month's DStv Top 30 listing is flawed.

The Broadcast Research Council made a mistake when processing the numbers for this month's TAMS (what's new!?)

These Top 20 and 30 lists should only reflect primetime shows and movies that fall between 17h30 and 22h00 but, as you can see, many of the Mzansi Bioskop movies start and end earlier than this. (7 out of the 12)

Isibaya will be canned just like Isithembiso

Goku, that will be a shame. Some of us still love watching Isibaya. But what's ironic and tragic is that, for a Zulu show, I would have expected Isibaya to be number one on DSTV ratings, just like Uzalo is on SABC 1. Lol.

Indeed bro + the cast is too good to be sitting on 800k viewers

Happy for Scandal and Imbewu, the channel's business model seems ok without any government bailout. money saved from the WWE and Champions League rights is being spent on local productions.
