Paul runs into Will and Sonny at the lake. Paul assures his dad that him and Derrick are just friends. Abigail, Chad, Ben and Zoe spend time with Theo at the lake. Abigail doesn’t feel that well, but she chalks it up to Theo spinning her on the inner tube.
Theresa isn’t happy when she sees Brady bonding with the new young nanny. Adrienne wants to tell Sonny about her divorce from Justin, but runs into Lucas instead.

Nicole struggles over her guilt about what happened with Eric. Daniel and Nicole run into Serena, who is waiting to meet with Eric to discuss how to trap Xander. Brady almost overhears Theresa's plan to use the nanny-cam footage to make Hayley appear unfit to care for Tate.
Ben and Chad are oblivious to Abigail's pregnancy panic. She takes off to buy a home pregnancy test and runs into Will, who finds out she may be expecting. Sonny learns about his parents’ divorce.

Abigail’s rattled when her home pregnancy test comes back positive. Will suggests she get a definitive blood test from Kayla. Kayla returns with a positive result. An emotional Abigail asks her aunt to run one more test.
Nicole arrives on Serena’s doorstep, loaded for bear. It nearly turns into a catfight when Eric arrives and breaks things up. Eric is tempted to tell Daniel the truth about him and Nicole. Victor arrives and Daniel’s eager to know if he’s going to help ensure Xander is put behind bars. JJ starts work for Sonny at Club TBD.

Eric and Nicole are alluding to what they did when Serena walks in on them. Eric meets up with Nicole at Daniel’s apartment, still wanting to talk. Eric has a problem: he’s in love with her! Serena meets with Xander – and brings a pocket digital recorder.
Chad arrives at Kayla’s office as Abigail asks to have a paternity test run. Will is rocked when he figures out Abigail thinks Chad could be the father. Jennifer and Hope drop by Ben’s place with some housewarming gifts now that Abigail has moved in.

Nicole thinks Eric’s declaration of love is just a reaction to their intense near death experience, but Eric means it. Hope visits Daniel at his apartment and finds an engagement ring. Theresa and Anne set up the nanny cam to make Hayley look bad. JJ tells Agent Watts he’ll get the goods on Kyle.
Eve gets some anxiety medication as part of her scheme to get even with Jennifer. More determined than ever to get even with Jennifer, Eve drops the medication into her yogurt drink.

Serena listens in as Nicole demands Eric answer her question about whether or not he’s going to tell Daniel anything. Serena claims she heard nothing. Daniel admits to Hope that he intends to propose to Nicole when the time is right.
Hope joins Aiden, who has planned a very romantic overnight for them at a country inn. Jennifer takes a sip of her medication-laden yogurt shake, but thinks it tastes weird, and dumps it. Paige blasts JJ for interfering in her life again. JJ confides in Jennifer that Paige is hanging with the wrong people.

Abigail discovers the home pregnancy test she left in the wastebasket is missing. Stefano summons Chad, wanting to know if his son is in love with Abigail. Stefano has an underlying motive to wanting to see them together. Unbeknownst to them both, Clyde hears every word of this via the bug he’s planted in Stefano’s study.
After visiting Sonny and Arianna, Rafe goes for a run near the DiMera property. Will sees Paul and Sonny in a friendly conversation. Adrienne arrives to see Justin… bringing with her the divorce papers.

Abigail and Hope are interrupted by Clyde, who claims he’s there to fix the sink, but he’s more interested in finding out what’s going on with Abigail. He waits until after Hope leaves and reenters the apartment while Abigail is in the shower.
Rafe and Hope continue to dig up information on Clyde. Chad is invited to play basketball with Sonny, Will, Paul, Rafe, and Ben. Will, Sonny, and Paul return to Club TBD, where Adrienne arrives, upset about her divorce.

Abigail is affected when she sees Chad with Arianna. Clyde figures out Abigail is pregnant, and when he talks to Ben, he realizes his son doesn’t know. Will and Sonny have a heart-to-heart about their marriage and uncertain future.
Daniel takes Nicole out for a romantic lunch. He finally produces the diamond ring and asks a stunned Nicole to marry him. Marlena finds Eric packing up all his reminders of Africa – and Serena. They’re interrupted by Serena, and after Marlena leaves, Eric makes it clear they have no future.

Nicole is blown away by Daniel's marriage proposal. Paige warns Jennifer she should be worried about JJ getting back into drugs. JJ agrees to go undercover for the DEA on the condition that he can tell his mother what he’s doing. Kayla admits to Hope and Aiden she was wrong about not supporting them as a couple. After Aiden leaves, Kayla tells Hope about Salem's upcoming bicentennial bash.

JJ bluffs his way through his meeting with Kyle, assuring he wants to start dealing drugs again. Paige alerts Jennifer that her son may be hanging out with the wrong crowd. Kayla consoles Abigail about her anxiety over her baby's paternity.
Stefano encourages Chad not to give up on Abigail. Eric sees Nicole's ring and gets the bittersweet news of her and Daniel's engagement. Serena tries to get information out of Brady, but he shuts her down.

Serena questions Nicole’s motive in offering to drop the exposé on her if she leaves town. Eric seeks out Father Louis and wants to speak with him in confession. Chad tries to confess his true feelings to Abigail but she lays into him before he gets a chance. Jennifer continues to try talking JJ out of going undercover.

Having bugged the confessional, Serena listens in as Eric admits to Father Louis that he and Nicole were intimate. As Eric tells Nicole he will keep their secret, Serena arrives at Daniel’s with the incriminating recording. In Sonny’s office, Paige comes upon JJ with his shirt off, and the sexual tension is high.
Will suggests Paul go out with him and Sonny tonight, and he should bring a friend. Derrick arrives, and Paul asks him to join them tonight.

Kayla reminds Abigail she’ll be able to run the paternity test. Abigail worries about the ramifications if the answer is Chad. Clyde stays busy on the Abigail front, having a man follow the lab tech who will perform the paternity test. Serena tells Daniel that Nicole and Eric slept together.
Brady and Theresa need a new nanny now that she has managed to get the old one fired.

Daniel questions Nicole about the night Xander terrorized her and Eric. Nicole offers her explanation of why it nearly happened and lays all her cards on the table. Will urges Abigail to hear Chad out, especially before she learns who the father of her baby is. Despite Theresa’s attempt to control the hiring of the new nanny, Brady finds the perfect candidate.

Nicole fears Daniel is done with her. Jennifer lays into JJ about his undercover work and how he’s doing it for the wrong reasons. At Will’s, Chad tries his best to tell Abigail how he feels about her. Will, Sonny, Paul, and Derrick head to Edge of the Square for a night on the town but the night takes an unpleasant turn.

Abigail listens as Chad pours his heart out to her, and for a moment, it looks like she and Chad will kiss. Abigail goes home and Ben sort of proposes – but tells Abigail she doesn’t have to make her mind up yet.
Paul, Derrick, Will, and Sonny encounter some homophobes at the bar. Paul gets into a fight with one of them after Derrick is punched. Kate and Justin bond over work, and he urges her to be careful with Clyde.

Nicole is surprised when Chloe shows up at Daniel’s unannounced. Daniel stuns Serena when he reveals he forgave Nicole. With Anne’s help, Theresa comes up with a new mysterious plan to stay at the mansion. Jennifer is upset when Maggie informs her a developer is forcing the Horton Center to close.
After training with Roman and Agent Watts, JJ can’t help but make clear he’s impatient to put Kyle behind bars.

JJ runs into Rory, who blasts him for letting Paige ruin his life. JJ later uses his key to get back into Kyle’s place. Theresa pulls off her lie about breaking her ankle. Daniel breaks up the Chloe and Nicole catfight. He speaks to Chloe in private and defends Nicole.
Xander meets up with Victor, who informs him all his operations have been taken over. Xander is going to pay the price for betraying Victor.

Abigail is torn, knowing the day has finally arrived for the paternity test to be performed. Unaware that JJ is hiding in the apartment, Paige and Kyle settle onto the couch. Theresa keeps up the act with her broken ankle, but Maggie and Brady still harbor doubts. Victor puts his plans for Xander into motion.
