The Season 4 dinners haven't cooled down yet and already there's an order for a new season.
Come Dine With Me South Africa has been renewed for Season 5 and the search for dinner hosts has begun.
Season 4 aired on BBC Brit earlier this year, it's currently repeating on BBC Lifestyle and Season 5 will air in early 2019.
Rapid Blue will continue as producers (and rights holders) and the format remains the same: in each episode, four enthusiastic amateur chefs take it in turns to host a dinner party at their home for the other three. The dinners take place over four nights. At the end of the week the best host wins a cash prize.
Season 5 will have 12 episodes.
It's going to be filmed in the same four cities as Season 4: Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth, so you need to live in one of these areas if you want to apply to be on the show.
Who is the show looking for?
South African residents who:
- are a whizz in the kitchen,
- have loads of personality & confidence,
- love entertaining,
- have the ability to perform under pressure,
- have what it takes to meet a challenge.
