Singer/songwriter Gerhard Steyn visits numerous celebrities on Christmas day, spending the day with them and their families. Gerhard and the celebrities do fun Christmas activities such as making food, putting up the Christmas tree and unwrapping presents.
 

Christmas Special 2015  (Repeat )

Christmas on 2 is a musical worship programme that was recorded for SABC 2 in the chapel of the NG Church Weltevreden with the participation of Bertha le Roux, who played Emma on 7de Laan, Sibongile Sibeko, Liesl du Toit, Tshepo Monareng and Rixi Roman under the musical direction of gospel singer Louis Brittz.

A selection of popular worship songs, including Joy to the World, O Come, All Ye Faithful and Silent Night, are meaningfully combined with scripture readings, prayer and a message of hope, for the times that we live in today, by Louis Brittz.
 

Rebecca Malope Special

Christmas Special on 2 (Repeat )

Filmed in St John's Methodist church, Port Elizabeth, this special portrays a South African Christmas, with a traditional service in a 120-year-old stone building, with timber rafters and colourful stained glass windows, mixed with playful scenes of fun at the beach.

Under the baton of Veronica Venter, the voices of the Erica Primary School Girls’ choir sing carols such as We Three Kings of Orient Are, Once in Royal David's City, Silent Night, Joy to the World, and others, contrasted with the building of sand castles and braais.

Accompanying the girls on organ is Arnu Oelofse. The reading of the traditional verses from the Bible is handled by the Kumalos, mother and daughter, in their own language, Sesotho. A prayer for the country and its people is read in Afrikaans by youngster Werner Engelbrecht.

Christmas On Chestnut Street
